Yusimi has spent her professional life dedicated to supporting and empowering young people. She began her career as a youth advocate, working for four years to guide and support children and families through challenging situations. Her bilingual skills in Spanish and English allowed her to connect deeply with diverse communities, break down language barriers, and ensure every family felt heard and understood. Through this work, she helped countless youth navigate school, social challenges, and personal growth with confidence.
Her passion for helping others naturally led her to a career in teaching, where she spent many years working with students aged 5 to 17, fostering academic success, emotional resilience, and self-confidence. Her bilingual abilities were invaluable in the classroom, enabling her to support students from different cultural backgrounds, communicate effectively with parents, and create an inclusive learning environment where every child could thrive.
In addition, Yusimi is a PRS CM Level II, which adds another layer of expertise in mental health and community support. Over the years, her combination of advocacy, teaching experience, and bilingual communication has allowed her to:
Mentor and guide youth through academic and personal challenges
Collaborate with families and communities to support student success
Develop programs and strategies tailored to bilingual and multicultural populations
Yusimi’s career reflects her belief that every young person deserves guidance, support, and the tools to thrive — a commitment she continues to carry into all her work today.
