Yusimi was born in Cuba, and from a young age she was curious about people — what makes us tick, how we cope, and how we heal. She started her journey studying psychology at Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Ponce, where she laid the foundation for her work in understanding human behavior.
After that, life took her to Europe, where she spent 20 years living in both France and Spain. During that time she worked as a consultant, connecting with people from all walks of life and helping them navigate real-world challenges with heart and insight.
Driven by her passion for helping others, Yusimi went on to earn her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. After completing her degree, she made the move to Houston, where she continues to build on her love for community, healing, and connection.
With years of experience in social services and as a youth advocate, Yusimi brings a genuine warmth, empathy, and resilience to everything she does. She believes that growth isn’t about perfection — it’s about showing up, being seen, and finding peace in the process.
